Appearance A dark screen is easier on the eyes in a cabin before dawn, and less blinding on a winter crossing.
Automatic Light while the sun is up, dark once it sets. Changes on its own, whatever your phone is set to. Match my phone Whatever your phone is set to — which only changes at sunset if the phone itself is on Automatic. Light Always the light theme, whatever your phone is set to. Dark Always the dark theme — easier on the eyes in a dark cabin or before dawn.
Text size For reading without glasses. Everything grows together — buttons and cards as well as words — so nothing ends up cramped.
Standard The normal size. Large About a sixth bigger. Usually enough to read without glasses. Largest As large as this app goes while everything still fits.
This is on top of whatever text size your phone or browser is already set to, so it will not undo a setting you have made there.
Location VesselWatch Scotland asks for your location only when you tap a button that needs it — to work out the drive to a pier, or to find your nearest port. It is never tracked in the background.
Turn it on or off on any crossing page, under Drive to port .
